Mark Davies

Mark Davies has been a member of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra since 1984 and has served as principal bassoon since 2002. He has performed with orchestras throughout the Mid-Atlantic states, including the Delaware Symphony, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Springfield Symphony, Princeton Symphony, the New York City Opera, and New Jersey State Operas.

Mark has appeared as a soloist at summer festivals throughout the US and Germany. 

In addition to his performing career, Mark is highly regarded as a designer and maker of bassoon reeds, which are favored by leading bassoonists in the U.S. and abroad. Mark holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Harold Goltzer.
