Kyle Hoyt, Horn
Kyle Hoyt is an in-demand French Horn performer in New York City and nationally. He has appeared as soloist with the Jerusalem, Montclair State University, Israel Chamber Orchestra, and Ann Arbor Symphony, and plays frequently with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the American, New Jersey, New Haven, and Greenwich Symphony Orchestras, and the St. Paul and Knights Chamber Orchestras. Previously he was Associate Principal Horn of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and held full time positions with the Columbus and Syracuse Symphony Orchestras. Kyle is a member of the Montclair Wind Quintet, and has performed chamber music at the Taconic Music Festival, Bard Music Festival, William-Paterson University, and the North Jersey Chamber Music Society.
Recording work includes the Orchestra of St. Luke’s Carnegie Hall concert with Alma Deutscher for Medici TV and PBS release of Alexander Kastalsky's requiem, Memory Eternal to the Fallen Heroes, a studio release of Azul with Yo-Yo Ma and the Knights for Warner Classics, and recordings for Naxos, Telarc, Nimbus Records, CBS, and NFL Films, Broadway Cares and the Local 802 Emergency Relief Fund. Since 2014 he has taught at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Kyle received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and Master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music. His principal teachers were Bryan Kennedy, Soren Hermansson, Erik Ralske, and Jeffrey Lang.
